SUGGESTED APPLICATION TIMES:
Eyebrows: 15-20 minutes. First, lightly massage the cream into the brows. Then reapply a medium layer of cream over the area. Remove completely prior to procedure. Use SJ3, during the procedure to continue anesthesia, and either Zone 2, Vasocaine or Blue Gel to continue anesthesia and constrict blood vessels.
Eyeliner: 10-15 minutes. Fill the eyes with Celluvisc eye gel or other lubricant to coat the cornea. With the client's eyes closed, apply a thin layer of cream with a small applicator across the lash line. Remove anesthetic before beginning procedure. Following the first pass of tattooing, sparingly apply Zone 2 or Blue Gel to control swelling and maintain anesthesia for up to two hours.
Lips: 15-20 minutes. Lightly massage the cream into the lips. Then reapply to create a medium layer of cream over the entire area. Remove completely prior to tattooing. While some relief may be provided with topicals, for total anesthesia you must provide a nerve block performed by a physician. Do not use inside the mouth. Use SJ3, during the procedure to continue anesthesia, and either Zone 2, Vasocaine or Blue Gel Anesthetic to continue anesthesia and constrict blood vessels.
Body Skin: 60-90 minutes. Highly effective if left on areas above the waist for up to one hour, or below the waist for an hour and one-half prior to tattooing or piercing. Gently massage into skin and then apply a medium coating over the top. In order to prevent absorption into clothing, cover with an occlusive dressing. Thicker skin requires longer time to absorb the cream than thinner skin. Use SJ3 or Liquidcaine during procedure to continue anesthesia, and either Blue Gel, Vasocaine or Zone 2 to continue anesthesia and constrict blood vessels.
Piercing: 10-15 minutes. Gently massage into skin and then apply a medium coating on top. If the area is covered by clothing apply an occlusive dressing. Wipe away product immediately prior to piercing. Avoid genital areas. Use Blue Gel, Vasocaine or Zone 2 during jewelry insertion to continue anesthesia and reduce swelling.
